CHICOPEE FALLS', bead fore-sight, swinging latch at breech, chamfered front to cylinder, coarsely engraved iron frame, the right side with sliding plate concealing tape-primer the lid marked with 'MAYNARD'S PATENT SEPT 22 1845', the backstrap with 'PATENT JAN 2 1855' (partially obscured), two-piece walnut grip and guarded trigger
